Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)
Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP): Your Path to PR
What Is the SINP?
The SINP helps individuals who have the skills, work experience, or entrepreneurial intent valued by Saskatchewan secure a provincial nomination. That nomination lets you apply for permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). (turn0search1)
SINP Main Streams
- International Skilled Worker (ISW)
This is the most dynamic category with three sub-streams:
- Occupations In-Demand
For skilled workers in shortage occupations—no job offer needed. Requires a minimum of 60 points on a 110-point grid, including education, experience, language, age, and Saskatchewan connection. Must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). (turn0search7) - Saskatchewan Express Entry (enhanced)
For candidates in the Express Entry pool—must match Saskatchewan’s in-demand jobs criteria. Submit an EOI, and upon invitation, you’ll get a provincial nomination which boosts your CRS score by 600 points. (turn0search9, turn0search3) - Employment Offer
For workers with a valid job offer in Saskatchewan. Submit an EOI; if invited, apply with supporting documentation. (turn0search5)
Note (2025): SINP’s annual nomination quota has been reduced by 50%, and 75% must go to applicants already in Canada. This has paused new EOI draws. (turn0search11)
- Saskatchewan Experience Category (Sask. Work Experience)
For individuals already working in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit. Includes specialized pathways:
- Tech Talent Pathway
For applicants with job offers in technology or innovation sectors (e.g. software engineers, cybersecurity specialists). Requires tech-specific credentials (e.g. APEGS for engineering roles). Employers must register and issue a Job Approval Letter. (turn0search9) - Agriculture Talent Pathway and Health Talent Pathway
Launched in August 2024 to address workforce needs in agriculture and healthcare. Simplifies credential recognition and recruitment. (turn0search13)
- Entrepreneur and Farm Category
For those planning to start or purchase a business or farm in Saskatchewan:
- Entrepreneur Pathway
For business start-up or purchase—must submit EOI, receive an invitation, and sign a Performance Agreement to establish/manage the business before nomination. (turn0search4) - Farm Owner and Operator Pathway
For individuals with farming experience looking to operate a farm in Saskatchewan. (turn0search4)
How the SINP Process Works
- Determine your eligibility, then submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via OASIS for ISW streams. (turn0search11)
- Your profile is scored based on multiple factors. Top-ranked applicants receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA). (turn0search11, turn0search8)
- Submit a complete application with required documents and fees within the deadline.
- If approved, you get the provincial nomination certificate, which you then use to apply for federal permanent residency.
