What Is the Super Visa?
The Super Visa is a special temporary resident visa designed for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents. It allows long, multiple-entry visits—up to 5 years per entry, with the visa itself valid for up to 10 years.
In contrast, a standard Visitor Visa typically allows only stays of up to 6 months per visit.
